Dale R. Otto, 58 of Sheffield Twp. died Wednesday (Jan. 3rd) at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. He was born November 13, 1959 in Ashtabula the son of Charles and Charlotte (Lane) Otto and has been a lifetime area resident.

He was a 1978 graduate of Ashtabula High School and had been employed at Cristal in Ashtabula for twenty five years as a maintenance production coordinator.

He enjoyed carpentry and fishing with his grandchildren in the family pond. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed visiting the local wineries with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching and going to NHRA drag races.

Surviving him is his wife Michele (Thompson) Otto whom he married June 8, 1991; two daughters, Stephanie (Joshua) Post of Ashtabula and Heather (Matthew) Daubenspeck of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Savannah and Parker Post and his siblings, Gale Otto of Jefferson, James Otto of Jefferson, Don (Sue) Otto of Ashtabula, Virginia Young of Marietta, Ohio, Kathryn Hennigan of Edgewater, Florida, Marilyn Mathews of Ashtabula, Martha (Greg) Fortney of Ashtabula,  Patty Skaggs of Ashtabula and he had many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters, Della Lane and Dorothy Keel.

Calling hours will be Sunday (Jan. 7th) from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula.

Graveside service will be Monday (Jan. 8th) at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Mausoleum 3140 E. Center St. North Kingsville, Ohio with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant officiating.
