Martha “Marty” Woodward Fenlason, age 68 passed away quietly on September 6, 2017.

She was born April 8, 1949 in Geneva, Ohio, she was the oldest child of Martha (Pera) and Don Woodward. She was a 1967 graduate of Geneva High, going on to Ohio Northern University for her Bachelor’s degree.

She worked beside her parents, brother and sister in their Geneva-on-the-Lake businesses since graduating in 1972.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaytlin Fenlason, sister Donna (Ron) Colby and brother Don “Woody” (Cheryl) Woodward along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Marty was very active in her community. She was a member of both the Geneva-on-the-Lake Blazettes Fire Auxiliary and the Geneva-on-the-Lake Fire Department. She was a firefighter/EMT for 30 years. As a life-long Republican she was a precinct committeeperson and worked the election polls for 40 years.

Marty was also a member of Ann Rutledge Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star; Temple Court Order of the Amaranth; Kheedawee Court Ladies Oriental Shrine and Past Worthy High Priestess of the Lakewood Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She also was Past President of the Ohio State White Shrine Association.

As per her request no visitation or services will be observed. She would like to be remembered for her love of life, friends, family and Geneva-on-the-Lake.
