Helen M. Gockerell, age 91, St. Rt. 307, Austinburg Twp., died Friday afternoon at the Rae Ann Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Geneva.

She was born March 18, 1925 in Geneva, the daughter of Henry & Edith (Cooper) Hubbard and has lived in this area all of her life.  Mrs. Gockerell enjoyed bowling, gardening, knitting, crocheting and macramé.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Robert M. Johnson and Rachel M. (Josh) Lewis both of Jefferson, four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Kasey & Aaron and a daughter-in-law, Beverly A. Gockerell of Austinburg Twp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert M. Gockerell in 1969, a son, Gary M. Gockerell in 2010, a daughter, Janice M. Johnson in 2002, a brother, Harold Hubbard and two sisters, Lucille Romansky & Hazel Kaspar.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:30 A. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Mick Gilliam, associate at the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Austinburg Twp.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9-10:30 A.
