Glenis M. Caudill, age 64 of Ashtabula, died November 4, 2015, at her residence.  She was born December 13, 1950 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Ralph D. & Audra M. (Colvin) Cutlip. 

Glenis had been a lifelong resident of Ashtabula County.  She worked as an office manager and dental hygienist for Dr. R.D. Reider during high school and until his death in the early 1990’s.  She then began her career as a para professional aide for Ashtabula Area City Schools until her retirement in 2013.  During her years at AACS she was a contract negotiator for classified employees. She was active in the Ashtabula High School Band Boosters, and she was a member of A.B.W.A., being named woman of the year in 1988.  Glenis was also the drummer and singer in the local band, “The Premiers” during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, with it being said that she had a singing voice resembling Carol Carpenter.  She will always be remembered as being a small woman that had a huge presence, and will forever be remembered fondly by all of those who were fortunate enough to meet her. 

She is survived by her husband, Ross “Skip” Caudill of Ashtabula, whom she married December 28, 1973 in Ashtabula; daughters, Amy E. (Ronald) Strang of Medina, Kerri A. (John) Robar of Ashtabula; granddaughters, Katelynn Strang of Medina and Annelise Robar of Ashtabula; Sisters, Janis (Robert) Fleissner of Ashtabula, Ardis (Jerry) Devaul of Canastota, NY; brother, Ralph Cutlip of Ashtabula.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Glenny’s family would like to thank each and every person that sent her cards and well-wishes.  Also, a huge thank you to all of the amazing nurses and aides at The Hospice of Western Reserve, they all made this difficult time so much easier to bear. 

A funeral service for friends and family will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015  at 11:00 A. M. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula with Celebrant Alisa Nierzejewski officiating.  Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 from 5:00-7:00  P. M.at the Ashtabula Home.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
