George McMannes, age 75, E. Erie St., Jefferson joined his sons Frank and Scott in heaven on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, passing away at his residence.

George was born to Arthur & Elsie (Gilbreath) McMannes on December 5, 1940 in Dale, Ohio. George was full of life and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and being outdoors.  George was an Eagle Scout.

George was survived by his wife of 55 years Esther, sons Terry and Ted, and his sister Eva Nichols along with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons Frank and Scott, a sister, Jeanine and his parents.

A private service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH  44004.  The Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W.
