Wynn E. Sanzotta, 97, passed away on July 28, 2022 at UH Geneva Memorial Hospital.
Wynn was born on April 26, 1925, in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Beverly and Cliffie (Barley) Nichols.
She graduated from Mexico High School in 1943. On June 14, 1946 Wynn married Dominic “Mickey” Sanzotta, together they were blessed with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a lifetime of the most beautiful and priceless memories.
Wynn loved sewing, cooking, and baking. Holidays and any kind of family gatherings were her favorite times. She loved her kids with all her heart but when she became a grandmother she found a whole different kind of love and happiness and they absolutely stole her heart. She also enjoyed volunteering; at Geneva Memorial Hospital she was a past member of the Board of Directors; for the Ashtabula Red Cross she always helped with the Red Cross blood drives, and at the United Church of Geneva she served as a Deaconess.
She is survived by her children: Patrick (Carole) Sanzotta, Amy Hallett and Ellen (Jay) Brail; her sister, Patricia Westfall; her nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She is proceeded by her parents, her husband “Mickey” in 1999; and her siblings: Aletha, Darlene, Glenn, Elizabeth, Robert, and Chatman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 11:00 am- 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00p.m. at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
