William M Wendell, 69, passed away April 30, 2025 at Meadow Falls Care Center of Saybrook, Ohio.
He was born on May 23, 1955 in Alliance, Ohio, the son of William and Mona (Newkirk) Wendell.
Bill graduated from Valley Forge High School in 1975 and then went on to Bowling Green State University and received his bachelors degree in environmental science. He was a public health inspector for the City of Cleveland, Ashtabula County and Geauga County. He finally retired in 2011 after working for 31 years. On September 22, 2012, Bill married Alta A. Truman. Together they were blessed with 12 years of marriage that was filled with love, friendship, happiness and made the most cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Bill enjoyed hunting, golfing, and traveling. His favorite place to travel was for sure Key West, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Alta; His children: Alicia (Anthony) Hurps, Shawn (Ellen) Wendell and Kathryn (Jared) Daley, his step-daughter that he loved like his own; and his grandchildren: Jordyn, Riddick, Gracyn, Madison and Logan.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
