Virginia L. “Jolly Sue” Ludwick
JEFFERSON – Virginia Lee (Parnell) Ludwick, 72, passed away on May 25, 2024, in the peace and comfort of her own home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Connellsville, PA., the daughter of Virgil and Louise (Sabatini) Parnell.
Virginia graduated from Connellsville High School in 1971. She worked in management in the food service industry for many years. Locally she served as the manager of Domino’s Pizza for 20 years until her health issues forced her retirement.
Virginia loved art working and crafts, and she would never turn down an opportunity to go shopping. She loved all animals and was constantly rescuing cats and dogs. Her greatest love was for her family; they were the source of her true happiness.
She is survived by her loving family; her children: Virginia A. (David) Work, Jamie C, Costella, John Ludwick, Michael Ludwick, Shelby “Bennie” Shallenberger, and Penny June Shallenberger-Crowe; grandchildren: Justice, David, Ashton, Dylan, Jesse, Trinity and Sarah (Tyler); great-grandchildren: Celeste, Atreus, Parker and Raven; as well as her sisters Patty Eschenfelder and Genevieve Parnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Bennie Shallenberger, her second husband E. Clyde Ludwick, and her brother Virgil “Juju” Parnell.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with her funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m.
