Thomas Wolfgang

Thomas Wolfgang, 79, of Dorset Twp. passed away on August 29, 2022, at his residence following a brief illness.

Thomas was born on July 18, 1943, in Kingsville, Ohio, the son of Miles and Martha (Polley) Wolfgang.

He was a 1961 graduate of Edgewood High School. Thomas was an Army Veteran, who proudly served his country.

Thomas married the love of his life, Shirley Jean (Smith) Wolfgang on January 4, 1971; they shared fifty wonderful years of marriage together until Shirley's passing in June of 2021. 

He was employed as a laborer for Chardon Rubber in Chardon, Ohio. Thomas was a member of the Covenant Assembly of God Church in Jefferson, Ohio.  

Thomas loved old time cars and working on engines. He enjoyed going out to eat especially going to Kay's Place for fish dinners. Thomas was also known for being a practical joker with a great sense of humor who was always bringing laughter to the room. 

He is survived by his beloved children: Thomas Wolfgang Jr., Dennis Wolfgang, Heather Prowant, Allen Wolfgang, and Adam Wolfgang; his grandchildren: Chad, Gregory, Michael, Danny, Dylan, Aylah, Rhane, Spencer, Wyatt and Riley; his great grandchildren: Braxton and Yelena; his sisters: Helen Price, Betty Smith, Marie Bucci, and Martha Wolfgang; his brothers: James (Angie) Wolfgang, Miles Wolfgang and Danny (Carol) Wolfgang.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley; his son-in-law, Mick Prowant; his grandson, Michael and his brothers: Michael and David Wolfgang.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming and Billman Funeral Directors, 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson Ohio. Funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.
