Thomas Dean Carpenter, 76, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, following a brief illness.
He was born in Morristown, Tennessee on May 21, 1949, the son of Jon and Juanita (Davidson) Carpenter.
Thomas was a proud graduate of Ashtabula High School Class of 1969 and worked for many years for Goodwill industries and for the Brighter Horizons workshop One of Tom‘s proudest accomplishments was his active and dedicated membership to the Masonic Lodge. He was a past member of many local lodges over the years: the Harbor Lodge #558, The Western Reserve/NE Chapter #8 Conneaut, Rising Sun Lodge #22, The Geneva Council #145 and the Scottish Rite. He also held the position of past High Priest. The brotherhood and friendships he made over the years was simply amazing.
He survived by his loving brother and his best friend, Donald Carpenter; his nephew, David Carpenter and his niece, Jennifer Carpenter; His great niece and nephews: Nevaeh, Michael and Arrick; as well as his team of caregivers that he loved like family from Brighter Horizons.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio calling hours will be held from 11:00-12:00 With the Masonic Memorial Service starting at noon, followed by his funeral service starting at 12:15. Burial will follow next to his parents in Greenlawn memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio
