Tammy Vaux
It is with broken hearts and endless tears that we announce the passing of Tammy Vaux, a wife, sister, stepmother, aunt, and friend to so many.
She left us suddenly on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Born in Jefferson on February 3, 1969 and was a 1986 Jefferson Graduate.
Everybody knew Tammy. She was always up for a fun time; ready to sing and dance to the rock and roll music that she loved. She had an endless desire to feed anyone who looked remotely hungry; and that included the many, many, pets she rescued and resorted to health over the years.
Tammy married her soul mate and best friend Mark Lemley on July 18, 2021, and the smile never left her face after that day.
A lifetime Union carpenter (foreman), Tammy ran jobs like the boss she was – the woman swung a 22oz hammer and never backed away from a problem on her job site. She loved to cook and when she did… she cooked a LOT! The color purple, a cat on her lap, a dog at her feet, a foil-covered “take home” dish of something mouthwatering- these are what we think of when we envision wherever she is now. She will be missed be so many who loved her.
She is survived by her husband Mark, her sister, Karen (Duane) Piekarski, brothers: Rick (Diana), Wesley(Lori) and Tony(Carole); many, many, much loved nieces, nephews, step-children and grand-children and her life time buddy, Mike Bryson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Addy Vaux, and her stepson Paul Lemley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday JANUARY 29th, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 at the New Lyme Hall, 810 Dodgeville Road, New Lyme Township
Donations in Tammy’s memory can be made to the Ashtabula County APL, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula OH 44004
