Susan Jean Oakman-Andrews

Susan Jean Oakman-Andrews, 76, of Fairport Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid.

She was born October 24, 1947, in Friedens, PA., the daughter of James R. and Evelyn D. (Fitzgerald) Oakman. 

Susie graduated from Madison Memorial High School in 1966. After graduating she began her 30 year career with The Geneva Telephone Company, which through mergers became Alltel. After retiring Susie worked in the garden center at Lowe's in Mentor.

She enjoyed arranging flowers, trips to the casino with her sisters, and her beloved pets. Susie was a very generous and giving person, always the first to offer a helping hand to those in need.

Susie is survived by her siblings: Carolyn Robison of Thompson, OH, James Oakman of Medina, OH, Robert (Toni) Oakman of Ashtabula, OH, and Joanne Powell of Athens, OH and her friend, Bobby Boyle of Fairport Harbor, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn Oakman and her sister, Connie Hupertz.

At Susie's request no services will be observed. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Lake County Humane Society.
