Obituary

Susan L. Logan age 54 of Ashtabula, entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2023, after a short illness. Susan was the youngest of five children born to John and Margaret Connors on December 7, 1968, in Ashtabula. Susan spent her childhood years in Jefferson and moved with her family to Ashtabula when she entered high school. Susan was a 1987 graduate of Harbor High School. After high school she worked as a manager at Burger King and Friendly’s, a teller at First Merit Bank, and the front desk of the Ashtabula YMCA. At the age of 11 she accepted Jesus as her Savior and kept her strong faith throughout her life. Throughout her adult life she struggled with numerous health problems, but she remained positive and trusted God to get her through all of her trials. On February 2, 1992, Susan married Tim Logan, the love of her life. They enjoyed 19 years of marriage. She and Tim traveled the world and spent time volunteering at Lake Farm Park every year as Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tragically, Tim passed away from a heart attack in 2011. Her final years were spent with one of her many cats who were her babies. Here current cat Ezzy is already missing his mom. Susan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping people, giving to others, anything Disney, the Hallmark Channel, The Red Hat Society, and all Cleveland sports teams. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she always went all out to celebrate. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great storyteller. Memorial Donations may be made to her favorite charity G.O. Community Development Corporation which helps underprivileged people in Ashtabula. Every year Susan donated school supplies and Christmas gifts to this ministry.

Susan is survived by her sister Nancy (Gary) Merker of Chardon, OH, and three brothers Keith (Karla) Connors of Fairfield, CT, Jim (Therese) Connors of Louisville, KY, and David Connors of Ashtabula. She also had 9 nieces and nephews along with one great nephew. She adored all of them. Susan was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Connors and her husband Tim. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but is now at home in Heaven and at peace.
