Susan Boone Heard

Susan Boone Heard, 81 of Plymouth Twp. Died Monday (June 15th) at her home. She was born September 14, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of Edwin B. and Kathryn (Hollender) Davis.

She was a graduate of Lima Shawnee High School and attended Defiance College and Kent State University for her teaching credentials.  She was a teacher that taught in the Ashtabula Area School District and she also taught in western Ohio and New York.

She attended both the Gageville United Methodist Church and the Conneaut Church of Christ. Susan was a long time Red Cross Volunteer. She had also been a DJ at WCVJ radio based in New Lyme, Ohio.

She was avid in crocheting, reading and she loved to roller skate.

Surviving her is her five children, Kimalee (Vernon) Prewitt of Houston, Texas, Kent Heard of Houston, Mark (Carol) Heard of Massachusetts, Billie (Terry) Finn of Torrance, California and David Heard of West Virginia; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Heard in 1998 and her parents.

Graveside services will be Friday (June 19th) at 11:00 am at Maple Grove Cemetery in Plymouth Township with Pastor Tim Kraus of the Conneaut Church of Christ officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the American Red Cross.
