Stefanie Kaiser Hamski passed away on October 18, 2025, in the E.R. of ARMC surrounded by the love and faith of her family.
She was born on December 16, 1964, in Parma Heights, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Regina (Sahm) Kaiser.
Stefanie was raised in a loving home with her sister Nora and her brother Peter. Her parents were immigrants who left Germany during World War II to come to America, “The Land of Opportunity”. One of the things she always remembered from her childhood was going fishing with her dad, she called it her “special time”.
Stefanie graduated from Cuyahoga Heights High School where she was a great athlete. She was a cheerleader, a runner, and a swimmer. She was a record holder on both her swimming team and her cross-country team. She took these skills into adulthood where she taught her three children how to swim very early in their childhoods and later began to teach her grandson how to swim. Following high school, Stefanie went on to Kent State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, where she then earned many awards for “Best Nurse” for being kind, compassionate, and loving. Her first nursing job was at Mount Sinai. She was a pediatric nurse, where she earned the nickname “Stefunny”, and used her “Steffy-Scope” to listen to kid’s heartbeats. She always knew how to make children laugh even when they were very sick. Her nursing career has lasted 35 years, and she was still presently working from home for the Cleveland Clinic as a telehealth nurse. In life she was always there to help others so being a nurse was a perfect fit for someone with a kind, loving heart like Stefanie. At her first job, she met her dear friend Cindy (Hamski) Moscato. Cindy then introduced Stefanie to her brother, Rob, who became the love of her life. Stefanie and Rob met on a blind date and were inseparable ever since. On May 5th, 1995, Stefanie and Rob were married. Not long after, they started their family in 1997 with their first baby, Natalie. They had dreams of their children being best friends so their next child, Nicole, was born in 1999. Following her, their last child and only son, Michael, was born in 2001. Growing up, Natalie, Nicole, and Michael were inseparable. Stefanie made sure she was always a huge part of her children’s lives. She was a softball coach for both of her daughters for many years throughout childhood. She even made sure she “coached” her son on the sidelines of his wrestling matches, even if she wasn’t his actual head coach. Stefanie was also a substitute school nurse for her children for many years, as well as a chaperone for every single field trip they went on. Stefanie and Rob’s first home was an old farmhouse with a barn. As their family grew, so did their need for space. They eventually built their dream home in the woods across the street from their farmhouse, where they raised their children and started their dream farm. Into her 50s and 60s, she and her husband Rob worked tirelessly to turn their home into a homestead. Raising chickens, turkeys, ducks, cows, pigs, and even bees, as well as gardening over 40 raised beds to supply their family with fruits, vegetables, and herbs to last a lifetime. Stefanie was a giver. Her chickens and ducks produced more eggs than you could imagine, so instead of selling them she gave them away. When in season she also loved to go deer hunting on her 150+ acres of fields and woods. She spent a lot of time “catching dinner” for her family and she also used this as an opportunity to spend time with her children who would hunt with her.” She loved taking family vacations every year, as well as taking one-on-one trips with her husband, Rob. Her all-time favorite place to vacation was Aruba, which she talked about at least once a week for the rest of her life. Stefanie loved her family unconditionally and would do anything to make them smile.
Stefanie is survived by her loving family: her beloved husband, Robert; her three beautiful children: Natalie Hamski, Nicole Hamski, and Michael (Leah Kingston) Hamski; her grandson, Coleson Hamski, who she absolutely adored; as well as her sister Nora White and niece Katelyn White.
Stefanie is preceded in death by her parents, Regina and Richard Kaiser, and her brother, Peter Kaiser. Stefanie was always the life of the party. She loved dressing up for Halloween, doing impressions, and goofing off with her family.
To honor her personality, we would like everyone to come as they are; no need to dress in suits or in all black. Her services will be held at her home on the family farm located at 2375 Pioneer Hill Dr., Jefferson OH, 44047, on Saturday October 25th from 2:00-4:00.
