Shirley J. Wolfgang, 71, passed away June 10, 2021 at the Ashtabula Co. Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Conneaut, Ohio on May 19, 1950 the daughter of Harry and Jennie (Mitcham) Smith Jr.
Shirley graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. On Jan 3, 1971 she married Thomas Wolfgang in Ripley, NY; they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She was a member of the Jefferson Church of the ; she enjoyed reading magazines and romance novels and watching soap operas and the Hallmark Chanel. Shirley thought being a mom was the greatest thing in the world and then she was blessed with her grandbabies; and they stole her heart. She will be remembered as kind hearted, proud and loving mother, a dedicated wife and dear friend to many.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband Thomas Sr.; her children: Thomas Jr., Dennis, Heather Prowant, Allen and Adam (Tamara) Wolfgang; 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and her brothers: Butch (Connie) Smith and Bobby (Bonnie) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Debbie Marunowski-Whittington, her brother Larry Smith and her son-in-law Mick Prowant.
Services will be held Monday evening at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson; calling hours will be from 4:00-6:00 and the funeral service will begin at 6:00 with Pastor William Evans officiating.
