Shirley M. Blair, 94 of Geneva-on-the-Lake, passed away Saturday, December 20th, 2025. She was in the good care of her family, her care giver Florent Kololli, the Staff of the Sanctuary of Geneva, where she resided for the past two years, and God’s hands.
She was born February 12th, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, and she was the daughter of William and Wilma (Perry) Bond. She was an Ashtabula High School graduate of the Class of “49”. She worked many jobs and then retired from her successful career as a Bank Manager with the Society Bank the Harbor Office in 1992.
Shirley has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church, since 1943, and perhaps their oldest living member. Shirley enjoyed boating and especially when her daughter and grandsons were with them. She and Bob enjoyed dancing, boating and having dinner parties with their friends.
Surviving her; a daughter, Debra Blair (Gary M. Kaplan – companion) of Ashtabula; two grandsons, Todd David Johnson of Nevada City, CA and Michael Blair (Emma Suzanne) Johnson of Waialua HI; a great granddaughter, Annaleia Rae Johnson, and great grandson, Makani Jeffery Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be on Saturday December 27th at 2:00 at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road., Ashtabula, OH.
Visitation will be on Saturday from Noon until the time of the service. A private burial for the family will be on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Edgewood Cemetery on State Rd, in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Park Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio.
