Sheri Lee (Spangler) Nye

Sheri Lee (Spangler) Nye, 67, passed away on January 12, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

She was born on January 22, 1955, in Madison, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Janet (White) Spangler.

Sheri married Mark Nye on August 27, 1977, they shared twenty-eight years of marriage together before his passing in 2005.

Sheri worked at the Gazette Newspaper for many years.

She enjoyed photography, painting, genealogy, hiking, spending time outdoors and going to yard and garage sales during the warmer months.  Her true source of joy and happiness was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her loving children: Jason (Jackie) Nye, Jennifer Nye and Jim (Donna) Bilek; her loving companion, Craig Huffman; her grandchildren: Camden and Summer; her siblings: Sandy (Behune) Glover and Mark Behune; her aunt, Dona Conrad; her cousin and best friend, Marlene Steele and her beloved cats: Pixie and Leo.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mark.

Graveside Funeral Services at Eagleville Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Fleming and Billman Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements for the Nye family.
