Sharon R. Skaggs

Sharon R. Skaggs, 72, passed away on July 1, 2023, at the Ashtabula Country Club Nursing Home.

She was born on February 11, 1951, in Anstead, West Virginia, the daughter of Roy Nelson and Nola Mae (Clark) Skaggs.

Sharon graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1969. She was employed as a laborer at Iten Industries and Bennett Machinery.

She had many interests: she enjoyed crocheting, doing all sorts of crafts, karaoke, singing and country line dancing.

Sharon is survived by her loving son, Curtis Pegram, her granddaughter, Ashley Pegram, her siblings: Sandra (Clennon) Newsome, Judy Greene, Gary (Brenda) Skaggs, Linda (Noah) Hamilton, Gerald “Bud” (Donna) Skaggs and Martha (Jim) Ryan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, April L. Pegram; her siblings: Aloma Tackett, Diane Greene and Larry Skaggs and her loving companion, Bob VanDevender.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00p-7:00p at the Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 526 West Prospect Street in Ashtabula. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11:00a at the funeral home, burial to immediately follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
