Ruby Margaret Sturgill

Ruby Margaret Sturgill, 89, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023.

Ruby was born on May 1, 1934, in Keokee, Virginia, the daughter of Holma and Lillie (Stidams) Camer.

Ruby was a homemaker who took great pride in creating and maintaining a beautiful home for her husband and children. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and keeping up to speed with the world by watching the news whenever she could.

She is survived by her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Gram Cracker”: Samantha (John) Wilfong, with whom she made her home; Phil (Sierra) Caudell, Kenny Caudell and Sheila Burbridge; her eleven great, grandchildren and her three great, great grandchildren, and her stepson, Keith Sturgill.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Sturgill; her 3 children: Lena Fay, Earl Sturgill and Judy Caudell and her stepson, Larry Sturgill.

A Graveside Service followed by a burial will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oakdale Cemetery, 328 North Market Street in Jefferson, Ohio.  Pastor Dan Laurenzi will be officiating the services.
