Ruby Kelly Pugh, 93 of Ashtabula died Sunday (March 1st) at the Lantern of Saybrook. She was born September 28, 1926 in Somerset, Pa the daughter of Walter and Harriet (Dickey) Bowman and had attended Somerset High School.
She was a member of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed doing ceramics and was an avid reader.
Surviving her are two daughters, Barbara (Charles) Scott of Ashtabula, Tracey (Bruce) Cory of Kingsville; three sons, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Kelly of Ashtabula, Douglas (Kimberly) Kelly of Irwin, Pa and Barry (Stacy) Shaffer of Pierpont; four step children, Sheldon (Patricia) Pugh, Judy (Charles) Mayse, Gail (Todd) Silvus and John Ringler; sixteen grandchildren, Beth Ann, Candi, Faye, Miranda, Johanna, Darcie, Amy, Phillip, Ryan, Sean, Shannon, Matthew, Nicholas, William, Samantha and Zachary; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ralph R. Kelly; her second husband, Sheldon Pugh; a daughter Beth Ann Kelly in 1955; two grandsons, Donovan L. Shaffer and Tyrone Shaffer; a step daughter, Sandy Ringler; two sisters, Pauline M. Lenhart and Dorothy E. Moore and three brothers, Richard J. Bowman, Ronald D. Bowman and Dean A. Bowman.
Funeral service will be Friday (March 6th) at 12:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Roger Howard officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be Thursday (March 5th) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
