Roger W. Mericka

Roger W. Mericka, 86, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on October 16, 2025.

He was born on December 7, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Stanley J. and Frances A. (Hynst) Mericka.

He graduated from Deming High School in 1957 and went on to receive his associates degree. Roger married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Bebout, on September 23, 1957, together they built a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and family. He worked in sales and distribution throughout his career giving many years to Premier- Farrnell Co. and Cleveland Southern Distribution Inc. Roger enjoyed working with tools, building homes, fast cars, motorcycles and watching Indy and NASCAR racing.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Mericka; his daughter, Michelle A. Meaney; grandchildren: Daiman (Lacie), Donna (Bob), Diana, Jaime, Kelsey (Nick), Jack (Megan), and Danny (Katie); twelve great grandchildren with one on the way; and his sister, LaVerne Mitchum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Roger W. Mericka Jr. (2015) and Michael S. Mericka (2001); his son-in-law, Larry Meaney and his brother, Stanley Mericka Jr.

In honor of his wishes no public services will be held.
