Roger A. Imrie, 70, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025.
He was born on November 4, 1954, the son of Robert and Hazel (Harshman) Imrie. Roger married Cheryl Hammer in April of 1977.
Roger was a longtime auto mechanic, known for his skill and dedication to his work. He worked at Lubrizole, Mentor, Roy and Rays Auto, Ashtabula, Ken Forging, Jefferson, from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He especially loved listening to rock and roll from the ’70s and ’80s. His favorite pastime was camping with his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Imrie; daughter-in-law, Mary Imrie; and grandchildren: Kali Imrie, Kassidie Imrie, Kaira Imrie, Kristen Obhof, Kanessa Obhof, Max Obhof, Kerrihonna Obhof, Donathon Obhof, and Dawn Obhof; great-grandson, Jasper Hayden; his sisters, Linda Hackworth and Barb Imrie; and his two dogs: Cooper and Weezee.
Roger was preceded in death by his sons, Jeremey Imrie and Jody Imrie; his brother, James Imrie; and his parents.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave, Ashtabula, Ohio. A luncheon will follow the service.
