Robert L. Sullivan, age 86, of Austinburg Twp., died Sunday at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center.
Robert was born October 3, 1936 in Markleysburg, PA, the son of Dorsey & Grace (Glisan) Sullivan and has been a resident of this area the past 30 years. He was married to Elizabeth J. Perok on July 14, 1980 in La Plata, MD. Robert was a 1985 retiree of General Motors Euclid plant.
Robert & Elizabeth attended the Eagleville Bible Church. His prior affiliations included the Ashtabula Co. Flyers Club, the Homing Pigeons, the TRW, now the Crooked Creek Rod & Gun Club and served as assistant scout master with the Boy Scouts. During their retirement years, the Sullivan’s enjoyed traveling and camping throughout the United States and Canada.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, two daughters; Deborah (Robert) Bradbury & Robbin (Laurie) Sullivan, four step-sons; David (Rosie) Bryan, Ricky (Mary Ann) Bryan, Joseph (Renae) Tartaglia & James (Elisabeth) Tartaglia, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two brothers; Ray (Judy) Sullivan &Ronald (Shara) Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Vesta Dennis, Betty Tallentire & Laura DePanfilo and a brother, Jack Sullivan.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson Twp. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday from 10-11AM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
