Robert F. Ludwick

Robert F. Ludwick (87) of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away April 4, 2025. 

Robert, also known as “Rob” or “Bob” was from Augusta, WV.  He was the son of Jesse and Lela (Knotts) Ludwick.

He moved to Jefferson, Ohio in 1960 where he met his wife, June A (Burtt) Ludwick.

Together June and Bob were blessed with 62 years of love and happiness; along with 4 children who went on to give them grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which give them a lifetime of the most priceless memories a couple could ever ask for.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lela; his son Robert (Bobby) Ludwick and sisters and brothers: Dorothy Pawnell, Laura Timbrook, Rachel Shoemaker, Willard, Elmer, Clyde, Henry and Marion.

Robert worked at Springwood, Sears, and Carter Lumber; he retired after sixty combined years of hard and rewarding work. Robert also proudly served his country in the US Army Reserve. 

Robert loved his family and extended family; they were his pride and joy. After retiring he and his wife would split their time between living in Ohio and in Tennessee. He loved to travel and attend sporting events with his family. He enjoyed working in his garden and on the yard. He liked making wood baskets and playing games with his family. 

Robert never knew a stranger. Everyone that met him loved him and many looked up to him like a father. He could make anyone smile. 

Robert was an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He will forever be remembered and cherished by all that knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, June; his brother Ray (Linda) Ludwick and his sister Ruth (William) Ripple; his children; Theresa (Jim) Yancey, Tammy Ludwick (Wendy), and Jesse (Kelly) Ludwick; grandchildren: Camie, Kelly, Dusty, Danny, X’Zavier, Jesse, Harley and Jace; great-grandchildren: Summer, Landin, Ava, Emmett, Savannah, Griffin, Harper, Tanner, Amelia, Brooke Lynn, and Bobbi; great-great grandchild, Tatum; and to a “special mention daughter” Johanna (Forthman) Piatt.

Robert will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be in June. The date and location will be announced online and via social media.
