Robert “Bob” Kobella, age 87 of Jefferson, died Sunday morning at Carrington Park where he had been the past 12 days.
He was born September 10, 1934 in Cleveland, the son of John & Margaret (Pitonak) Kobella and has resided in the Jefferson area since 1948. Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a long-time security officer with Allied Security Service and formerly was an Ashtabula Co. Sheriff’s Deputy.
Bob was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, Tuscan Lodge #342 F&AM, Jefferson Eagles Aerie Lodge #3881. He loved his cats and feeding the deer and wild turkeys on his property.
Bob is survived by his son, Jack A. (Sheila) Kobella of Wesley Chapel, FL, six grandchildren and long-time family friend, Tracy Hoyt of Ashtabula and her children, whom he considered grandchildren, Mandy Mae & Devin Allen. Bob was a brother to Larry, Diana & Donna.
His parents and a daughter, Peggi preceded him in death.
Bob’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, 1/1/22 at 2:00PM at Nicky’s Bar, 2099 State Rd., Ashtabula. Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, Jefferson office is handling arrangements.
