Rebecca “Beckey” Young

Rebecca “Beckey” (McCool) Young, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Saybrook Landing. 

Beckey was born on September 27, 1947 in Jamestown, NY; the daughter of Keith and Patricia (Merritt) McCool. 

She married the love of her life, Homer Young in October 1968. Together they had two children. 

Beckey enjoyed quilting and traveling. She was an avid member of Messiah Lutheran church for several years. Her all-time favorite thing was spoiling her grandkids. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Homer Young; her children: Patrick (Kevin Hill) Young and Lori (Shawn) Krenisky; her beloved grandchildren: Aubree Young, Patrick Young, Garrett Krenisky, and Bryce Krenisky; and her siblings: Brenda and Kenny. 

Becky was preceded in death by her parents. 

Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15th at 11:00am at Messiah Lutheran Church 615 W Prospect Rd, Ashtabula, OH44004. There will be a time for fellowship following the service at the church.
