Raymond W. Kellogg, 72 of North Kingsville died Friday (Feb. 21st) at his home. He was born October 17, 1947 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Ray was the son of Wesley R. and Evelyn J. (Hoover) Kellogg and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a graduate of Edgewood Sr. High School and had been employed by True Temper in Saybrook Township and Plycraft in Conneaut until his retirement in 2009.
He belonged to the LEWTA Club and was very active in the North Kingsville Little League. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed coaching and watching his girls play sports when they were younger. Ray could often be found cutting a rug on the dance floor or working in his wood shop. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and enjoyed spending the winters in Florida.
Surviving him is his wife Nancy (Marple) Kellogg whom he married June 3, 1972; two daughters, Kiesha (Ian) Schirner of New Albany, Ohio and Kelsey (Ronnie) Cole of North Kingsville; three grandchildren, Brady, Savannah and Kaydence and a brother, Dale L. Kellogg of Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Wednesday (Feb. 26th) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be Tuesday (Feb. 25th) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
