DORSET — Randy L. Wright, 63, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at UH Geauga Hospital after a long illness.
Born on September 28, 1962, to George and Linda (Roach) Wright, Randy grew up with strong family values that guided him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Jefferson High School, Class of 1981, he worked for many years at Alphabet Industries/KD Orwell, where he forged lasting friendships through his hard work and easygoing spirit.
On November 4, 1989, Randy married the one true love of his life, Ethyl M. Lambert. Over their 36 years together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and partnership. Their lives were blessed with a daughter, Amanda, whose own family grew to include Andrew and their two boys, Alexander and Arthur—with another precious grandchild soon to arrive. Randy’s greatest joy was being a grandfather. His grandsons were the center of his world—his constant companions, his best little buddies, and the source of endless pride and happiness.
Whether cheering them on, sharing a story, or simply enjoying their company, Randy’s devotion to his grandsons was clear in every smile and every moment they shared. His family meant everything to him, and he leaves them a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will live on in each of their hearts.
Randy also loved the outdoors, finding peace in hunting, fishing, and spending quiet days surrounded by nature. He enjoyed watching old westerns and listening to bluegrass music, often with a grandson or two by his side.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ethyl; his mother, Linda; his daughter, Amanda (Andrew) Paszko; his beloved grandsons, Alexander and Arthur, with another blessing on the way; his brother-in-law, Delford Lambert Jr.; and sister-in-law, Regina (Banj) Henry.
He was preceded in death by his father George, his half-brother James Wright and his in-laws Del and Gatha Lambert, his brother-in-law Melvin Lambert and sister-in-law Ruth Lambert.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio 44047. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial in Dorset Cemetery.
Though Randy is gone, his warmth, laughter, and love for his family—especially his treasured grandsons—will be remembered always.
