Peggy Darlene Otto

Peggy D. Otto, 74, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021 at her home in Jefferson, Ohio.

She was born on June 15, 1947 in Huntington, Indiana the daughter of John Chapman and Marilyn Smart.

On July 11, 1965 she married Howard E. Otto Jr., the love of her life and together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Peggy worked at the Jefferson Community Center for 6 years, at the Golden Dawn for 14 years as well as Country Accents Craft Store. She was a member of the Eagleville Bible Church and a member of the Elderberries Club.

Peggy had many interests and hobbies: she enjoyed card making, rubber stamping and diamond art.  She also enjoyed the outdoors where she liked fishing, target shooting and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by her loving family: her sons: Larry (Michelle) Otto, Denny (Joanie) Otto and Bobby (Amber) Otto; her grandchildren: Christopher Otto, Brandon Otto, Stephanie (Darayl) Reed, Chelsie Otto, Dylan Otto and Onna Otto; her great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Marissa, Madison and Mason Reed; and her siblings: Linda (Mike) Carnall-Marks, Paul (Rhonda) Adams and Larry Boyer.

She was preceded by her parents; her grandparents: Bart and Olive Smart who raised her; her loving husband: Howard E. Otto Jr.; her brother in early childhood: Larry Adams; her son Howard "Tracy" Otto III during his infancy and her granddaughter Nikki Otto.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021 at the Eagleville Bible Church.  Calling hours will be from 10:00a-12:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00p.  The burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery following the funeral service.

Memorial Contributions in Peggy's name can be made to Feed Our Vets or the Animal Protective League.
