Pauline Headman Obituary

Pauline L. Headman, age 89, of Ashtabula, died Thursday morning, July 30, 2026, at her home.

Born April 17, 1937, in Andover, Ohio, the daughter of Lena B. (Lewis) and Clifford R. Albert, Pauline lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. A devoted Christian, she faithfully served her church in many capacities throughout her life, including 26 years as secretary and treasurer at Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church. She also served on the Session and Board of Deacons, sang with a beautiful alto voice in the choir, played handbells, and found great joy in worship and fellowship. In her later years, she was a cherished member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she remained active in her faith until her passing. Pauline was a part of the Good Life Singers, and she spent time with dear friends walking at the mall and enjoying coffee and lunch together.

Above all else, Pauline enjoyed spending time with her loving family who treasured her so much. With travels, visits, board games, and sporting events, her children and grandchildren admired her sharp wit and kind heart.

She is survived by her four children, Cathy S. (Scott) McEvoy of Strongsville, Douglas A. (Mary Beth) Headman of Sylvania, Beth A. Desai of Hopewell, NJ & Karen M. (Rick) Arthur of Coleman, MI; 13 grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Julie, Scotty, Patrick, Libby, Andrew, Nikolas, Logan, Lukas, Carlee, Myles & Jayden; 8 great-grandchildren, Avery, Danny, Easton, Oliver, Camden, Jace, Collins, and Finnley and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Headman, her parents and brothers, Emerson, Russ, Darl, and Dale.
