Paul R. Woodworth

Paul Richard Woodworth, 87, passed away on November 19, 2023, at the Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born on August 10, 1936, the son of James and Cora (Chapin) Woodworth.

Paul proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army where he served from 1954 – 1958.

He worked in production control at Robert Shaw Controls in California for many years before retiring.

Paul was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church and was very involved in the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts of America as a Troop Leader; even after his son had finished his time with the scouts, Paul continued to be active and volunteer his time.

He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, tending to his plants and flower gardens.  Helping others was in his nature, he was a student in the game of life, he was always looking to learn more and further his knowledge base.

He is survived by his loving son, Ryan (Kathy) Woodworth; his grandson, Jerrit Woodworth and his siblings, Royal "Woody” (Caroline) Woodworth, Barbara Lasher and Ruby Simpson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Martha in infancy; his brothers: James, Clifford, Howard, Fred, John, Lawrence and Robert and his sisters, Ruth Gran and Betty Harshbarger.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service and Military Honors to follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Baptist Church, 85 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson.  A Memorial Luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jefferson Baptist Church or the Boy Scouts of America.
