Obituary

Norman K. Maki, age 92, Sheffield Twp., died Monday morning at his residence.

He was born October 5,1929 in New Lyme Twp., the son of Urho & Senia Maki.  Norman was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict, part of the 7th Infantry Division and the Combat Infantry Division. 

Norman was a member of Orion Lodge #353 F&AM in Kingsville, American Legion Neal Post #743 in N. Kingsville, the VFW & the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey L. (Theresa) Maki of Sheffield Twp., five grandchildren; Jason Wilson (Heather) Maki, Heath Wilson (Charliene) Maki, Calib (Tia) Maki, Jeffra Carpenter & Angie Maki Cliff and 12 great-grandchildren, Lorna Maki, Ryan Maki, Alexander (Sarah) Maki, Alana Norman, Taylor Maki, Jason Norman Maki, Ava Carpenter, Korbin Cliff, Jeffrey Warren Maki, Mele’ Maki, Duncan Maki & Beneta Maki.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Dolores in 2007, two sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday at the Gageville United Methodist Church, 4063 St. Rt. 193, Kingsville, OH (Sheffield Twp.) with Rev. Terry Simpson officiating.  Burial will be in Gageville Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6-8PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.

Masks are requested at the visitation and services.
