Mona Lee Wrisley-Roerdanz 68, passed away on March 19, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, in Cleveland, Ohio. Mona was born on April 22,1955, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Charlotte Best and Anthony Azzano. Her stepfather was Marlyn (Nick) Best. She lived in Kentucky and Pennsylvania but resided in Ashtabula, OH for most of life. Mona worked in numerous Nursing Homes in the Ashtabula County Area. She was also employed at Mag-Nif. The life of Mona was filled with many beautiful memories. She wore many hats, a mother, mother-in-law, stepmother, grandmother, daughter, stepdaughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and passed that love on to her children and putting puzzles together. Bingo and playing cards were her enjoyment or get together with family and friends. Mona was a collector of anything that was funny, cute, heartfelt, or meaningful. She also enjoyed gardening and watching her Soap Operas. She was proud of many things in her life, but nothing compared to her relationship with the Lord, the love of her children and her Chevy Red Truck. Mona is survived by her beloved children; Philip (Telesa) Wrisley, Carol Moore, Micheal Sawyer, brother; Antony Azzano (Caroline), sisters; Carol (Roger) Robbins, Fawn Nagle, and Dina (Bob) Cockrell. Numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mona is preceded in death by her parents; Charlotte Best, Anthony Azzano, brothers; William (Bill) Wrisley, Edward Paul Wrisley, sister; Sue Moses Penalez, husband; Fred Roerdanz, and child; Baby Terry. Living a full life filled with family and love, making memories and making others laugh without trying to, was Mona. Like one of her favorite sayings, was Iknow. She will be deeply missed but will always live in our hearts. Thank you, Mona, for sharing your beautiful spirit, giving heart, and fighting to the very end. You know now that we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Mona, you will be sincerely missed by us all. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home 526 W. Prospect Rd Ashtabula, Ohio with memorial service to follow at 4:00pm.
