Michael J. Richey, 52 of Kingsville died Monday (March 12th) after a long illness at the Saybrook Landing. He was born December 24, 1965 in Ashtabula the son of Joseph P. and Janet (Robinson) Richey. He has lived most of his life in the Ashtabula County area except for several years in New Port Richey, FL.
He was a 1984 graduate of Ashtabula High School and attended Kent State University. He had worked construction for several years until his retirement due to ill health.
Michael loves all sports especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians.
Surviving him is his mother, Janet Frazee of Kingsville; his daughter, Mia (Tyler) Higgins of Atlanta, GA; a step-brother, Robert (Rebecca) Frazee, Jr of Saybrook and three step-sisters, Shelli (Greg) Lyle of Kingsville, Tina (Tim) Breland of Kingsville and Debi Frazee of Kingsville. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Richey in 1984; a brother, Patrick Richey in 2003 and by his step-father, Robert Frazee, SR.
Funeral service will be Thursday (March 15th) at 2:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Pastor David Hines of the Kingsville Baptist Church officiating.
