GENEVA - Michael Durrant, 50, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 5, 2021.
He was born in Ashtabula on July 28, 1970 the son of Dennis and Donna (Blakely) Durrant.
Michael graduated from Geneva High School and the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School in 1988.
On October 3, 1999 he married Ruthann Hagan, the love of his life, his best friend, and his loving and devoted bride of almost 22 years.
Michael worked the past 20 years for PYA Management Group of Painesville as the property maintenance manager. He began working at a very young age for his family business, Durrant Shows. He worked fairs and festivals for over 35 years. He was also known as a huge Cleveland Indians fan and possibly one of the biggest fans of Hulk Hogan and professional wrestling. Hulkamania fans in Heaven welcomed Mike with open arms.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruthann; his mother Donna; his sister Andrea Durrant; his "God-children" Brian VanWinkle and Megan (Justin) Mcelroy; as well as his cousin Tracy (James) Durrant-Snyder; whom he loved like a little sister.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held on Saturday July 10, 2021 at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio; calling hours will begin at 11:00 until 12:00, with funeral services beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Brownville Cemetery
