Meghan Davis Obituary

Meghan Davis

Meghan Louise Davis, 65, passed away in her home on October 2, 2022, following a brave battle with cancer.

Meghan was born March 22, 1957, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Nancy (Larson) Davis.

She graduated from Harbor High School in 1975; she was the class Valedictorian, a member of the concert band, and a member of the marching band, the band that went on to perform at the 1972 Olympics in Munich.  Following graduation, she went on to receive her degree in Marketing from Bowling Green State University in 1979.

Meghan was a product manager at Ohio Bell-AT&T (now Lucent and Avaya); it was through work that she met Rees Davis, and on September 11, 1982, she married the love of her life and together they celebrated 40 years of memories, friendship and love.   She retired in 2002 and shortly after retirement she and Rees started and operated Honey Hollow Herbs for the past 15 years.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, whitewater rafting, sailing, card making and playing Fantasy Football. She was a member of The Holden Arboretum, The Herb Society of America, The Ashtabula Women's Club, The Ashtabula County Master Gardeners,  The Women's Suffrage Club, and was a certified flower and garden designer with The New York Botanical Gardens. She was a  past member of the Prospect (Trinity) Presbyterian Church; and alumni of the Alpha Phi sorority at Bowling Green State University.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Rees Davis; her siblings whom she loved with all her heart: James (Michelle) Davis, Lori Bretschneider and Peter (Kathy) Davis; and her nieces and nephews that she cared for like they were her own children: Jonathan (Natalie) Davis, Lauren Davis, Katy (Bryan) Coin, Audry Bretschneider, Stephanie Davis and Andrea Davis.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Nancy and her in-laws, Rees and Gladys Davis.
