Mary C. King

Mary Carolyn King was reunited with her parents in heaven and granted eternal rest on March 25, 2023.

Mary was born on November 16, 1939 in Jackson, Mississippi the daughter of Ed and Mary Williams.

In 1958 Mary graduated high school and being the hard working women she was, she went right to work.  In 1970 she married the love of her life, Samuel D. King.  Together she and Sam were blessed with a daughter, love, happiness and 32 years of marriage until his passing in 2002.

She worked in the finishing department for over 20 years at Zehrco Plastics, she loved her job and the hard working people she worked with.  She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go on walks through the neighborhood, she enjoyed relaxing in front of the TV and you could often catch her watching an old Western re-run.  She adored her family, she was so happy to become a grandmother and just adored her grandson; Mary was very close to her brother Robert who always looked out for his little sister.

She is survived by her loving family; her daughter Carolyn King her grandson Cameron (Amanda) Mann; her great-granddaughter Ca’mara Mann; and her niece, nephews; and Sam’s remaining family, her brother and sister in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel; and very sadly her family became whole again on March 31st, four days after she passed away her brother Robert passed away at age 89.  She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Robert’s son Kenneth Williams.

She will be laid to rest in Ridgeview Cemetery next to her husband Sam.
