Mary B. Ferry, 95 of Ashtabula died Saturday (Sept. 7th) at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. She was born November 27, 1923 in St. Paul, Indiana the daughter, Carl V. and Hazel (McDaniel) Burgett.
She married Ross K. Ferry on June 10, 1945.
She had worked at the Federal Reserve in Cincinnati and also at the NEO Bank in Ashtabula.
She was a long time and active member of the Park St. Christian Church in Geneva. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was also active in PTA when her children was young.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, farming, canning fruits and vegetables and traveling to festivals. She was a lover of music and played the organ, piano, bells and dulcimer. Mary loved sewing and was very accomplished and had made over twenty wedding dresses.
Surviving her are her three daughters, Aimee (Larry) Narducci of Ashtabula, Janet (Sam) Grippe of Ashtabula and Anita (Ray) Steighner of St. David’s, Ontario; five grandchildren, John Lazarchic, Matthew Narducci, Michael Narducci, Stephanie (Jason) Weigel and Christine Grippe and two great grandson, Anthony and Vincent Narducci. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ross in 1995; a daughter, Laura Lazarchic; daughter, Patricia Bland and a brother, Richard Burgett.
Private services will be held at a later date.
