Martha Leonard Obituary

Martha Ruth Leonard, age 90, lifetime Jefferson area resident and living in Erie the past 10 years, died Sunday evening at Manchester Commons in Erie.

She was born April 25, 1930 in Lenox Twp., the daughter of Earl R. & Ora (Richardson) Wolf.  She was a graduate of Jefferson High School then worked many years in the office at Union Carbide-Linde Division, then ESAB before retirement.

Martha attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ashtabula, then in Madison after it’s closing.  She also attended the Lenox Christian Fellowship Church.  She was active in her churches and volunteered at ACMC, caring and always willing to help others.  She was a former member of the Grange and enjoyed bowling and traveling.  Martha had many cats as pets. 

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Bonnie Phile, Trudie Schaubert, Timothy, Randy & Ernest Wolf, Edith Robertson, Randy Wolf, Helen Cortwright, Peggy Fryan, Paul Wolf, Carolyn Woodruff, Raymond Santana and Cathy Elizabeth Miller, whom was also her caregiver.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her former spouse and significant other, Clarence Leonard; brothers, Raymond & Clinton Wolf and sisters, Helen Ross, Lois Woodruff, Mary Miller & Edna Santana.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.  Burial will be in Lenox Center Cemetery.
