Marilyn M. (Williams) Woodworth

Marilyn M. Woodworth, 89, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2022, at her home.

She was born on July 21, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Basil and Margaret (Kitner) Williams.

On July 22, 1950, Marilyn married Thomas L. Woodworth; together they had three children, who gave them ten grandchildren and the most incredible memories that she will cherish forever. Her family was her life, she was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home Mom to raise her children, something that was very important to both her and her husband.

Marilyn was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church and the Jefferson Garden Club; she lived life to it's fullest.  She had the most amazing gift of turning strangers into friends quicker than anyone.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, decorating (especially at Christmas time), volunteering whenever she was needed, playing Scrabble, doing word puzzles and she was an avid reader.

She is survived by her loving family: her daughters: Sandra (Mark) Shane, of Wickliffe, Ohio and Linda (Bruce) Wolfe of Eastlake, Ohio; her son, Bradley (Debbie) Woodworth , of Jefferson, Ohio; her grandchildren: Stacy (Mike) Lynch, Amy (Ron Dowling) Wolfe, Kelly (Mark) Savchuk,  Melanie (Mike) Richardson), Melissa Kleder, Matthew (Megan) Shane, Jeffery Shane, Georgia (Nathan Butte) Woodworth,  Lucas Woodworth, Wade Woodworth and Harrison Woodworth; ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Thomas Woodworth, who passed away in 2007; her grandson, Thomas “T.J.” Wolfe in 2021, and her sister, Dee Darrigo.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8th, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio.  Calling hours will be held from 3:00p - 7:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00p. Marilyn will be laid to rest on Friday, December 9th, in Cochranton Cemetery in Pennsylvania. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Jefferson Henderson Memorial Library.
