Marilyn J. Bogue

Marilyn J. Bogue, 93, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 23, 1930, the daughter of Herman and Ruth (Dellinger) Short. Marilyn graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1948. She went on to marry Nelson Bogue in 1955. 

She worked in the Clerk’s Office at the Jefferson County Court House, NorthEast Ohio National Bank, and retired from Unionville, OH Post Office. She also ran the family cottages- Eugobode Cottages at Geneva on the lake until she was 80 years old. Marilyn enjoyed volunteering in the 70’s and 80’s for the American Red Cross. And she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her great memory and sharing family stories of her youth.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Tari Simon, Karen (Lynn) Fortier and Kimberly (Stanley) Schwegler; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nelson Bogue, daughter, Joann; her brother, Robert (Doris) Short and stepsister, Ethel (William) Pasco.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, May 3rd from 10:00-11:00 with funeral service to immediately follow at Fleming & Billman Geneva Funeral Home 323 South Broadway Geneva, Ohio 44041.
