Margaret S. "Marji" Fisher

Margaret S. “Marji” Fisher, age 61, Center Rd., Saybrook Twp., died unexpectedly Thursday, 11/15/18 at her residence.

Marji was born March 27, 1957 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Ernest L. “Bud” & Ann P. (Kollar) Fisher.  She grew up in Ashtabula, graduating from St. John High School in 1975, began her working career here, was head cook and manager of the Stowaway Restaurant in Carlisle’s Department Store for many years.  Most of her working career was in the service industry.  Marji then moved on to Coshocton, OH and San Diego, CA for several years, before returning to Ashtabula seven years ago.

Marji was raised in the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed cooking and loved her dog Lucy.  Marji loved reconnecting and visiting with all of her friends in the Ashtabula area.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Patricia L. (Dean) Moore of Saybrook Twp. and nieces and nephews, Chad P. (Malinda) Sneary and his sons, Trisitin & Tyler, Michelle L. (Chris) DeRidder & Tricia D. Fisher.  Her parents, a brother, Dennis M. Fisher and a step-sister, Beverly J. Fisher preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 11/27/18 at 11:00 AM at the Saybrook United Methodist Church, 7900 S. Depot Rd., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Jeff Stoll officiating.  Burial will take place at a later time in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is 10-11 AM prior to the service on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, in care of Patricia Moore, 4025 N. Ridge Rd.
