M. Ruth Thompson, 92, passed away at her home, in her sleep, early Thursday morning August 26, 2021.
She was born in Glassboro, NJ on March 1, 1929 the daughter of Henry and Mary (Johnson) Scholz.
Ruth graduated from Clayton High School and went on to earn her degree in theology from Cleveland Bible College (now known as Malone University); it was there that she met her husband and the love of her life, Emerson J. Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Emerson in 2005; her grandson Michael Arnn, her sisters Mary Cremer and Bernice Kniveton; and her son-in-law Clay Tredway.
