Lynne Anne (Sposito) Golembieski, 77, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
She was born on December 31, 1945, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Joe and Laura (Catano) Sposito.
Lynne graduated from St. John’s High School in 1963.
On June 18, 1966, Lynne married the love of her life, Roger Anthony Golembieski; they shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage together and were blessed with two daughters.
Lynne worked in the Medical Billing Department at Ashtabula County Medical Center for many years until her retirement in 2010.
She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula.
Lynne enjoyed watching tennis on television, gambling at casinos and cooking for family gatherings. She also enjoyed spending time with her three closest friends from the “Girls Club”. Lynne’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren; her greatest source of joy and happiness was being “Grandma” to her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; her beloved children, Julie (Ryan) Clancy and Tricia (Greg) Ambrose; her grandchildren: Roger Bento, Meghan (Danny) Marinelli, Jenna Ambrose, Ryan Bento and Chloe Clancy; her great-grandchildren, Adelie and Alinah Bento; her sister, Lillian Zitkiewicz; her brother-in-law, Stanley (Sandy) Golembieski and her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister who passed away at birth.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 526 West Prospect Road in Ashtabula. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1200 East 21st Street in Ashtabula, burial to immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Ashtabula.
