Louis E. “Sweet Lou” Gruhlke, Jr., age 28, passed away Thursday.
He was born May 26, 1990 in Ashtabula, the son of Louis E. Gruhlke & Candice A. Means. Lou was a 2008 graduate of Geneva High School and was currently a sales rep with the Geneva Verizon Store and was a server at Clay St. Bar & Grill.
Lou played the guitar and sang and was a passionate writer of both music and poetry. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan, always had a sharp sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Lou is survived by his parents, Candice A. Means of Austinburg, Louis E. (Shannon) Gruhlke of Rock Island, IL, a sister, Grace N. Gruhlke of Rock Island, IL, his grandparents, Ronald & Judith Means of Jefferson & Ronald & Mary Gruhlke of Rock Island, IL and several aunts, uncles & cousins.
No services will be held at this time. Scattering of ashes will take place in Allegheny Mountains in New York at the family’s convenience. Memorials and condolences can be directed to the family, in care of Candice Means, 4056 St. Rt. 307, Apt. 3, Austinburg, OH 44010.
