Lois M. Lillie, age 94, formerly of Lillie Rd., Sheffield Twp., died early Wednesday morning in Saybrook Landing.
Mrs. Lillie was born August 4, 1925 at home in N. Kingsville, the daughter of Charles & Goldie (Phillips) Hayes and has resided in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of N. Kingsville School. She was married to Maynard S. Lillie on June 12, 1948 in Ashtabula. Lois was a homemaker and worked the family farm. She also served many years as Sheffield Twp. Zoning Inspector and was a member of the Bulah United Methodist Church & the Ladies Aid, We the Women Club & Sheffield-Star Grange more than 70 years.
She is survived by three children, Patricia A. Kanack of Sheffield Twp., Pamela L. (Theodore) West of Jefferson & Duane “Sid” S. (Sharon) Lillie of Sheffield Twp.; seven grandchildren, Jon (Stephanie) Glotzbecker, Lynne (Scott) Millard, Heather (Jon) Stoltz, Jerrod Lewis, Christopher (Jenna) Lynagh, Andrew “A. J.” Lynagh & Sean Lynagh; six great-grandchildren, Sydney & Emily Millard, Nicholas & Morgan Stoltz and Claire & Danielle Glotzbecker and a brother, Dale (Holly) Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard in 2018; a son-in-law, Stephen Kanack; a great-grandson, Tyler Millard; twin sister, Laura Richmond; sisters, Hazel Jack & Vera Shepard and brothers, Vernon & Charles Hayes, Jr.
She was the best mother and grandmother in the world. Her cooking was so good her grandchildren said ”she could make mud taste good”.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Pastor Scott Racut officiating. Burial, with the ashes of her great-grandson, Tyler Joseph Millard with her, will be in Gageville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bulah United Methodist Church, 2070 St. Rt. 193, Jefferson, OH 44047.
