Linda C. Hochschild, 81, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born December 5, 1940 the youngest of 5 children, to Paul and Marvel Westcott at the family farm on Peebles Road in Sheffield Twp.
After graduation from Kingsville High School in 1958, she married the love of her life Ron Hochschild, also known as ”Buck”,in 1959. They would spend 21 years together and raise three sons, until Bucks untimely passing in 1980.
Linda was always ready to help anyone in need, be it family, a friend or a complete stranger, one meeting with her and you knew you met a lady, and a warm and compassionate friend. She was truly selfless and the world lost a special one on this day.
Linda wore many hats in her lifetime from growing up on a farm and cooking, baking, canning and quilting to working in Krogers and Reliance Electric, way back when to being the principal’s secretary at Kingsville Elementary for many years, to keeping the books for many businesses in the area, to doing income Taxes out of her home, delivering mail for the Post Office and being the Sheffield Township Clerk for the last ten years of her working life. Not to mention being a proud lifetime Ohio Granger, until her death those were always important to her. But her favorite hat was, being a wife, a mom, a grandmother and a great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by many.
She is survived by her three sons; Chris, Tim (Tammy) and Mike (Jeannette); sister Nancy, her grandchildren, Danielle (Frank), Timmy, Christopher (Ashlynn), Cory (Julie), Brandon, Morgan (Juwan), and Cameron; her great-grandchildren, Lemon, Rye, Ozzie, Ayla and Vale and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marvel, her husband Buck, her siblings; Darryl, Ronny and Russell and grandson A.J.
Because of their wonderful care and compassion in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of The Western Reserve.
