Leanne Belle (Glasgow) Plyler, 83, of Geneva, passed away on June 3, 2024, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
She was born on July 13, 1940, in Pennsylvania to the late, Willard “Red” Gibson and Helena "Leah" Valentine (McConnell) Glasgow.
Leanne was a graduate of Linesville High School Class of 1958 and was a 1961 graduate of Meadville Hospital’s three-year nursing program.
On June 19, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jack Plyler; they shared sixty-three wonderful years of marriage together.
Leanne retired from nursing in July of 2002. In addition to loving her family, she loved her friends and was passionate about reading and all types of crafts.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her children, Vicki (Jon) Sussman and John (Pamela) Plyler; her grandchildren: Leah (Christopher) Smith, Megan Sussman, Jacob Sussman, Alex (Kayla) Plyler and James Plyler; her great- grandchildren: Baron, Madelyn, Owen, Holden, and Hannah; her step-mother, Dorothy Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Leanne was preceded in death by her brother, Clinton “Rusty” Gibson Glasgow.
In honor of Leanne’s wishes, there will not be any services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank and show appreciation to the staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve and Comfort Keeper’s for the wonderful care that they provided Leanne.
