LeRoy Ray Vanek

LeRoy Ray Vanek, 41, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2024, in Gibsonton, Florida.

He was born on September 3, 1982, in Youngstown, Ohio; the son of Troy M. (Barbara) and Diane M. Vanek.

LeRoy graduated from Jefferson High School and went on to attend two years of vocational education.

LeRoy was an extremely gifted and talented IT professional. He worked as an enterprise solutions and multi cloud architect for top organizations in Florida and was
awarded EUC Maverick for IGEL.

LeRoy married his beautiful bride, Brooke S. Vanek on February 22, 2022.

LeRoy loved the spending time on and in the ocean, he was certified in scuba diving and was extremely well versed in diving with sharks. He enjoyed sky diving and was a licensed pilot. He also loved his Jeep, his chihuahua Mojo, going on hunting trips out west, and was a dedicated member of RVR Horse Rescue.

He is survived by his mother, Diane Vanek; his father, Troy (Barbara) Vanek; his grandmother, Mary Vanek; his loving wife, Brooke S. Vanek; his sister, Kimberly (Joshua) Jackson; his step-siblings, Joey and Jennifer Hall and his nieces and nephews: Finch, Lindsay and Zach.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, LeRoy and Margaret Shauberger.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Giddings Park in Jefferson, Ohio.
